O poder da oração e do jejum parte, saiba por quê! Parte II em Ingles

The power of prayer and fasting part, know why! part II
Noble readers (as) because this is another good topic to show, I want to show them by parts; it is a current topic, and it is necessary that all should come to know a little more like praying and fasting.
Because it was so in the past, in the times of the prophets, kings, judges and ministers of the time. Prayer and fasting makes a very big difference in the lives of those who pretica and the receiver prayer. And fast, unfortunately not everyone can do this. There are people who can not stay without food for a long period or even for short periods. In the past, Moses and Elijah done this for a long period, and King David was a king of much prayer and fasting. King David was a king privileged because only went into battle after their prayers answered by God. King Solomon, Josiah, Hezekiah, Asa king Darius etc., Joshua and Caleb, Elisha, the Judge Deborah, Hannah, Samuel, Ezra, Nehemiah, Isaiah, Jeremiah, and even Jonah after three days and three nights in the belly of the great fish, and it is assumed that it was a whale, regretted his mistake was attended by much praying God in your prayers. It was not just in the past who prayed and fasted a lot. "Jesus" prayed and fasted for 40 days, only this is that he was hungry and was tempted by the devil; but persevered. Jesus for several times was caught praying, but his disciples were lazy, hardly accompanied Jesus in prayer. After the death of Jesus and his resurrection is that they came to be and make prayers, intercessory more often. John the Baptist was an apostle much prayer, and Paul also happened to be a man of much prayer. So why not follow in the footsteps, the same paths of our ancestors! Pray and fast for love of God and neighbor. Here at this point we have the prophet Samuel, a man of much prayer, faithful, fearing and obedient to God, but that had children that were disappointments of people, and they did everything wrong. Samuel when at the beginning of his prophet of life in Israel had to tell the truth the prophet Eli, on their children, who were also disobedient and not fear God, and were killed for being disobedient. Eli also died because he was too fat and fell off his chair and broke his neck. And so did Samuel:
Samuel was serving the Lord calls all the house of Israel to repentance. And how all this happened! With much prayer and fasting: when you regret, one of the main ways is the direct prayer to the "Father", without middleman. None of holy images, or any other type of choice. 1 Sam. 7.3 the "3 And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If with all your hearts are returning to the Lord, cast ye from among you the strange gods and Ashtaroth, prepare your hearts to the Lord, and serve Him only; and he will deliver you from the hand of the Philistines. 4 The children of Israel therefore launched from among them the Baals and the Ashtaroth, and served the Lord. 5 And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpah, and I will pray for you unto the Lord. 6 And they gathered together because, at Mizpah, and drew water and poured it out before the Lord; fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the Lord. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpah. 8 And they said to Samuel. Do not cease to cry unto the Lord our God for us, for us from the hand of the Philistines "In Samuel times, his people did not suffer further persecution, for God was with Samuel to the end of their days. Samuel's mission was very important in all Israel; because he became prophet of Israel. And interlocutor between "God and his people": Samuel had a mission to anoint kings as "Saul and David", which was a great king in all Israel. David was a man of much prayer, and was not going to fight without consulting the "God"; and do not go out to war without hearing "God" yes: will that I'm with you. David reigned for many years throughout Israel; but he sinned, committed adultery ordered the killing, and was responsible for this crime, we will see forward more. David is made king in all Israel; 2 Sam. 5. 1 to "1 Then all the tribes of Israel came to David at Hebron and said, Behold, we are thy bone and thy flesh 2 Also in time past, when Saul was king over us, it was you who led out and brought in Israel; and the LORD said unto thee, Thou shalt feed my people Israel, and thou shalt be ruler over Israel. 3 So all the elders of Israel came to the king to Hebron; and King David made a covenant with them in Hebron before the LORD; and they anointed David king over Israel. 4 David was thirty years old when he became king, and he reigned forty years. "
David was so different, constantly prayed and fasted. He sinned seriously, but regretted asking forgiveness of "God." Was punished by God with severity, but received forgiveness from the Lord, and was blessed after the punishment with the birth of Solomon, who became king in his place. And Solomon had only fourteen years old when this happened. And Solomon was chosen to build the house, the temple of God here on earth David's prayer to God. 2 Sam. 7.8 to 29: "Now therefore thus shalt thou say unto my servant David, Thus saith the LORD of hosts, I took thee from the pasture, from following the sheep, to be ruler over my people Israel; 9 and I have been with you wherever you went, and destroy all your enemies before thee; and will make thee a great name, like the name of the great which is in the earth. 10 I will appoint a place for my people Israel, and will plant them, that they may dwell in their place, and be moved no more, and never the children of iniquity afflict them, as before, 11 as from the day that I commanded judges to be over my people Israel. To you, however, give you rest from all your enemies. And the LORD declares to you that will make you a house. 12 And when thy days be fulfilled, and thou shalt sleep with thy fathers, I will set up after thee thy seed, that out of thy bowels, and I will establish his kingdom. 13 He shall build an house for my name, and I will establish forever the throne of his kingdom. 14 I'll I'll be father, and he shall be my son. And if he does wrong, punish him with the rod of men, and with the stripes of the children of men; 15 but it will not turn away my kindness as from Saul, whom I put away before thee. 16 thine house, and thy kingdom shall be established for ever before thee; thy throne shall be established forever. 17 According to all these words, and according to all this vision, so Nathan spoke to David. .... David prayed to God thanking him for all he had done to his people; the children of Israel. Then went king David in, and sat before the Lord, and said, Who am I, Lord Jehovah, and what is my house, that thou hast brought me hitherto? 19 And this was yet a small thing in thy sight, O Lord GOD; but thou hast spoken also of thy servant's house to come; And is this future generations, O Lord GOD? 20 What more can David say. For thou knowest thy servant, O Lord Jehovah. 21 For thy word's sake, and according to thine own heart, hast thou done all this greatness, to make thy servant. 22 Wherefore thou art great, O LORD God: for there is none like thee, and there is no God beside thee, according to all that we have heard with our ears. 23 What other nation on earth is like thy people Israel, whom thou, O God went to redeem for a people, to make him a name, and doings in their favor these great and terrible things for thy land, before your people, that You redeemed to You from Egypt, from nations and their gods? 24 So you established your people Israel for your people forever, and You, Lord, didst become their God. 25 Now therefore, the Lord God, for ever the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house, and do as thou hast spoken, 26 to be magnified thy name for ever, and say, The Lord of the hosts is God over Israel; . and the house of thy servant be established before You 27 For thou, O Lord of hosts, the God of Israel, hast revealed to thy servant, saying, I will build you a house. Therefore thy servant dared to ask you this prayer. 28 Now therefore, O Lord God, thou art God, and thy words be true, and thou hast promised to thy servant this well. 29 Be Now therefore served to bless the house of thy servant, that persists for ever before thee; for thou, O Lord God, have spoken; and with thy blessing let the house of thy servant be blessed for ever. "
Note the 150 Psalms, 72 were written by David. See how this man was blessed by God, and how was a man of prayer. David reigned over Israel with much justice. 2 Sam. 8. "15 reigned David over all Israel, and administered justice and equity to all his people." The biggest mistake of David, and its consequences, which paid a high price, even David praying and fasting not prevented him from being punished by God for his big mistake. Read 2 Sam. caps.11e 12, so you have a better understanding of all that he did. And what was your punishment. If you have patience is a virtue, leiam.2 Sam. 22: 1your 51; this song David asked the Lord. The last words of David: 2 Sam. 23.1 "1 These are the last words of David: David the son of Jesse said, and the man who was raised on high, the anointed of the God of Jacob, the sweet psalmist of Israel. 2 The Spirit of the Lord spake by me, and his word is on my tongue. 3 spoke the God of Israel, the Rock of Israel said to me, He that ruleth over men, ruling in the fear of God, 4 shall be as the light of the morning the sun rises, a morning without clouds, when, after the rain, the sun shining, the grass springing out of the earth. 5 For is not my house so with God? Hath made with me an everlasting, ordered in all things and secure pact; because He will not prosper all my salvation and all my desire? 6 But the wicked will all be as thorns, thrust away, because you can not touch them; 7 but whoever touches the will arm with iron and the staff of a spear; and are burned in the same place. "   Solomon son of David, this was God's choice to build the temple of the Lord. Solomon asks God, An understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil:
For who is able to judge this thy so great a people. And the speech pleased the eyes of the Lord:
1Rs.3. "5 In Gibeon the LORD appeared to Solomon in a dream night, and said unto him, Ask what you want that I give thee. 6 And Solomon said you used to great mercy with thy servant David my father, as he walked before thee in truth, in justice, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and kept for him this great kindness, and gave him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. 7 Nowtherefore, O Lord my God, thou hast made thy servant king instead of David my father. And I am but a little child; I do not know how to go out or come in. 9 Give therefore thy servant an understanding heart to judge thy people, that I may discern between good and evil; for who is able to judge this thy so great a people? 10 And the sight of the Lord, that Solomon had asked this thing. 11 And God said unto him, Because thou hast asked this thing, and hast not asked for thyself long life or riches, nor the life of thine enemies, but hast asked for understanding discern what is right, 12 behold, I have done according to thy words. Behold, I give you a heart so wise and understanding, that thee before thee there was none like, and after thee shall any arise like your. 13 And give you what you have not asked, both riches and honor; so that there will be your equal among kings, all thy days.14 And if thou wilt walk in my ways, to keep my statutes and my commandments, as David "
Solomon speaks to the people of Israel, and pray God: 1Rs.8: 22ao 61: This is a long prayer, but feel the purity, sincerity, loyalty, fear, and love of Solomon to God, that Bless Solomon and his people.
Read all cap.8.1 to 61; so there is a better understanding. Here is a summary of this chapter:
{...} 12 Then spake Solomon, The LORD said that he would dwell in darkness. 13 I have surely built thee an house to dwell in, seat for thy dwelling for ever. 14 And the king turned his face, and blessed all the congregation of Israel; and all the congregation stood. 15 And he said, Blessed be the LORD God of Israel, who spoke with his mouth to David my father, and with his hand fulfilled it, saying: ... 20 And the LORD hath performed his word that he spake I am risen up in the room of David my father, and sit on the throne of Israel, as the LORD, and have built an house for the name of the LORD God of Israel. ... 22 And Solomon stood before the altar of the LORD in front of all the congregation of Israel, and spread forth his hands toward heaven, 23 said: O Lord God of Israel, there is no God like You, on the heaven or on earth beneath, keeping the covenant and mercy with thy servants that walk before thee with all their heart; 24 who hast kept with thy servant David my father that which you promised; because with Your mouth said it, and with thy hand fulfilled it, as it is this day. 25 Now therefore, O LORD God of Israel, keep with thy servant David my father what you promised him, saying, There shall not fail thee before me successor to sit on the throne of Israel; so that thy children take heed to their way, to walk before me as thou hast walked. 28 And the prayer of thy servant, and to his supplication, O LORD my God, to hearken unto the cry and the prayer which thy servant prayeth before thee; 29 That thine eyes may be open night and day toward this house, this place of which thou hast said, My name shall be there; to hearken unto the prayer which thy servant shall make toward this place. 30 Hear, O thou to the supplication of thy servant, and of thy people Israel, when they pray toward this place. Yes, You hear of thy dwelling place in heaven; hear, forgive. ... 32 then hear from heaven, and do, and judge thy servants; condemning the wicked, to bring over his head and his ways, and justifying the righteous, to give him according to his righteousness. 33 When thy people Israel are defeated before the enemy, because they have sinned against you; if they come back to you and confess thy name, and pray and make supplication to You in this house, 34 then hear from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy people Israel, and makes take you to the land that gave to their fathers . 35 When heaven is shut up and there is no rain, because they have sinned against you, and pray toward this place, and confess thy name, and turn from their sin, when thou afflict them, 36 then hear from heaven, and forgive the sin of thy servants, and of thy people Israel, teaching them the good way wherein they should walk; and sends rain on your land you gave your people for an inheritance .... 38 all prayer and supplication soever any man or by all thy people Israel, which shall know every man the plague of his heart, and spread forth his hands this house, 39 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place of, forgive, and do, and give to every man according to his ways, according to you see your heart (for thou only knowest the hearts of all the children of men) ; 40 That they may fear thee all the days that they live in the land that gave to our fathers. 41 Moreover concerning a stranger, which is not of thy people Israel, comes from a far country for Thy name's sake 42 (for they shall hear of thy great name, and thy strong hand, and of Your outstretched arm), when he shall come and pray toward this house, 43 then hear from heaven, your dwelling place, and do according to all that foreign to you cry, so that all the peoples of the earth may know thy name, and fear thee as thy people Israel, and know that by Thy name is called this house which I have built 52 Be open your eyes to the supplication of thy servant and to the supplication of thy people Israel, to hearken unto them in all that they call to You. 53 For you, O Lord God, separate them from among all the peoples of the earth, to be thine inheritance, as thou hast spoken by Moses thy servant, when our fathers brought out of Egypt. 54 And it was so, that after Solomon's doing the Lord this prayer and this prayer, on his knees and with hands outstretched to heaven, he arose from before the altar of Jehovah, 55 got to his feet, and blessed aloud to all the congregation of Israel, saying, 56 Blessed be the Lord, who has given rest to his people Israel, according to all that he promised: there hath not failed one of all the good words which he spake by his servant Moses. 57 The LORD our God be with us, as he was with our fathers; do not leave us, nor forsake us; 58 That he may incline our hearts to him, to walk in all his ways, and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments, which he commanded our fathers. 59 And let these my words, with which I pleaded before the LORD, be nigh unto the Lord our God day and night, that he maintain the cause of his servant and the cause of his people Israel, as each day demand, 60 so that all the peoples of the earth may know that the Lord is God, and that there is none. 61 Let your whole heart to the Lord our God, to walk in his statutes, and keep his commandments, as at this day.} Solomon made this beautiful prayer of thanks to "God", which is part of this wonderful book called "Holy Bible" Elias was also very used by God. Elias is sustained by the Ravens and the widow of Zarephath. 1 Kings. 17: 2 to 24. Elijah and the prophets of Baal. Find out what happened to them. 1 Kings 18: 18ao 46: This passage here, we show that no use praying to gods lie, as the prophets of Baal did. They invoked their gods, and were not heard nor met; and the prophet Elijah won them crying out to the real "God" who were a total of 450 men, see what it says in 1 Kings. Rs. 18. {...} 22 And Elijah said unto the people, I alone am left a prophet of the Lord; but Baal's prophets are four hundred and fifty men. 23 Give to us, for two bullocks; and let them choose one bullock for themselves, and cut it in pieces, and lay it on wood, but put no fire; and I will dress the other bullock, and lay it on wood, and put no fire. 24 And call ye on the name of your gods, and I will call on the name of the Lord; and it shall be the god who answers by fire, let him be God. And all the people answered and said, It is well spoken. ... 26 And they took the bullock which was given them, dressed it, and called on the name of Baal from morning until noon, saying, O Baal, answer us! But there was no voice; no one answered. And they leaped upon the altar which was made. ... 30 And Elijah said unto all the people, Come near unto me. And all the people came near to him. And he repaired the altar of the Lord that was broken down. 31 And Elijah took twelve stones, according to the number of the tribes of the sons of Jacob, unto whom the word of the Lord, saying, Israel shall be thy name; .... 3 3 he put the wood, and cut the bullock in pieces, and laid it on the wood, and said, Fill four water jars, and pour it on the burnt offering and the lenha.34 he said, do it the second time; and did the second time. And he said, Do it the third time; and the third time they did. 35 And the water ran around the altar; and he filled the trench also with water. 36 And it was so, already in time of the offering of the evening sacrifice, that Elijah the prophet came near, and said, O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and Israel, let it be known today that you are God in Israel, and I am your servant, and that according to thy word I have done all these things. 37 Hear me, O Lord, answer me, that this people may know that thou, O Lord, are God, and that thou hast turned their coração.38 Then fire fell from the Lord and consumed the burnt offering, the wood, the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. Elijah prayed to God and cried fervently} Elias, with a bread and water walked in the desert for 40 days and 40 nights praying and fasting to get to Mount Horeb. 1Rs.19. "4 But he went the way of the desert one day, and sat down under a juniper tree; and asked that he might die, saying, Enough, O Lord; now take away my life, for I am no better than my fathers. 5 And as he lay under a juniper tree, he slept; and, behold, an angel touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat. 6 And he looked, and behold, at his head was a cake baked on the coals, and a cruse of water. Having eaten and drunk, made to lie down. 7 The angel of the Lord came a second time, and touched him, and said unto him, Arise and eat, because too long you will be traveling. 8 He got up, then, and ate and drank; and the strength of that food forty days and forty nights to Horeb, the mountain of God. "See how the Lord sent were faithful to Him. Only with the strength of that food Elias was sustained for 40 days in the desert. For God was with him also, as had also been with others. Hezekiah restores the worship of the Lord, and prayed the Lord's house. 2 Kings. 18. 2ao 7 & 19; 1 to 14.19. 2 Kings.
He was twenty-five years old when he began to reign, and he reigned twenty and nine years in Jerusalem. The name of his mother was Abi, the daughter of Zechariah. 3 He did what was right in the sight of the Lord, according to all that David his father. 4 He removed the high places, broke the pillars, and brought down the grove; and brake in pieces the bronze serpent that Moses had made (for unto those days the children of Israel did burn incense), and called it Nehushtan. 5 He trusted in the Lord God of Israel, so that after him was none like him among all the kings of Judah, nor any that were before him. 6 For he clung to the Lord; he departed not from following him, but kept his commandments, which the LORD commanded Moses. "  King Hezekiah was a man of prayer also, and did all that pleased "God" Isaiah comforts Hezekiah, who was sick of death, but prayed to the Lord, read. 2 Kings. 19: 15-20 "15 And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, you are seated on the cherubim, you yourself, you alone are God of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth. 16 Incline, O Lord, thy ear, and hear; open, O Lord, thy eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God. 17 Truly, O Lord, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands, 18 and have cast their gods into the fire they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone; therefore they have destroyed them. 19 Now therefore, O Lord our God, save us from his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou, LORD, are God. 20 Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the Lord God of Israel. I heard that you asked me against Sennacherib king of Assyria "
God sends the answer to Hezekiah. 2 Kings. 20.1ao11. And did Hezekiah throughout all Judah that was good straight and true before the Lord your God ... And in every work that he began in the service of the house of God, and the law, and the commandments, to seek God with all his heart did, and prospered: 2Cron. 31.20,21: "20 And thus did Hezekiah throughout all Judah; and did what was good and right and truth before the LORD his God. 21 And all the work that began in the service of God's house, and according to the law and the commandments, to seek his God, he did it with all his heart, and prospered. "
King Josiah, was another king, who repaired the temple, and did everything that was right in the sight of God. The book of the law is found. Josiah renews the covenant with the Lord, and the king commanded the people to celebrate the Passover to the Lord. To better understand, read. 2 Kings. caps. 22:23 to the 30. David's prayer to the Lord. 1Cron. 17. "23 And now, O Lord, always be confirmed for the word that thou hast spoken concerning thy servant and concerning his house, and do as thou hast said. 24 And be thy name established and glorified forever, and tell yourself: The Lord of hosts is the God of Israel, even a God to Israel; be established before thee the house of David thy servant. 25 For thou, my God, hast told thy servant that build him an house; therefore thy servant hath found confidence to pray before thee. 26 Now therefore, O Lord, Thou art God, and spoke this good about your servant. 27 And you were now to bless the house of thy servant, that it may continue for ever before thee; for thou, Lord, have blessed, and it is blessed forever. "
Solomon blesses the people and thank God. Solomon's prayer. The fire and the glory of God are the signs of approval ... And God appears to Solomon, and make it promises. Ideally, you read 2Cron. caps. 6 and 7até to 22; for you to see and feel the power of God, to those who were faithful to them, fearful, loving, fair, fair to the Lord; and obey the laws, and commandments.   King Cyrus, Ezra, Ezra. 1; 1ao11. Ezra prays to God, and confess to God all that his people had done against the Lord. And they repented. Esd.10. {...} 1 Now when Ezra prayed and made confession, weeping and casting himself down before the house of God, there assembled unto him out of Israel a very great congregation of men, women, and children; for the people wept bitterly. Then Shemaiah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons, women, and children; for the people wept bitterly. Then Shemaiah the son of Jehiel, one of the sons of Elam, ... spoke to Ezra, saying, We have trespassed against our God by marrying foreign women from the peoples of the earth; however, in spite of this, there is still hope for Israel. 3 Now therefore let us make a covenant with our God to put away all the women and those who are born of them, according to the counsel of my lord, and of those who tremble at the commandment of our God; Let it be done according to law. 4 Arise; for the matter belongs to you, and we are with you; be of good courage, and do it. 5 Then Ezra rose up, and the main oath parents of the priests, the Levites, and all Israel, that they should do according to this word; and they swore. 6 Then Ezra rose up from before the house of God, and entered the chamber of Johanan the son of Eliashib; and when he came there, he ate no bread, nor drink water: for he mourned because of the unfaithfulness of the exiles. 7 And they made proclamation throughout Judah and Jerusalem to all the children of the captivity, to gather together in Jerusalem; 8 and that whoever within three days did not come after the counsel of the princes and the elders, all his substance should be forfeited, and himself separated from the congregation of the captivity. ...  I'm showing you these written here, so there is a better understanding of how the people acted "God"; living in sin, whoring for God, not just about sex; God had created a people who in the course of his years, became rebellious, stubborn, whisperers, and sinners to extremes. Because of their disobedience, and their sins, "God" delivered into the hands of enemies of the people of Israel; and so they were spreading throughout the land and contaminating more and more with other people. But it's time they return from captivity and join, unite again, with the people of "God." They heard the envoys of God, through the prophets. The time had come to be rebuilt what was once the home of "God." The sacred temple, the walls of Jericho in Jerusalem, Israel: But it was high time they leave the sin, separating foreign, leaving only the children of Israel. ... 10 Then arose Ezra the priest, and said unto them, Ye have transgressed, and have married foreign women, to increase the guilt of Israel. 11 Now therefore make confession to the Lord God of your fathers, and do what is pleasing to him; separate yourselves from the peoples of the land and women estrangeiras.12 And all the congregation answered with a loud voice, As thou hast we should do. 16 Thus did the children of the captivity that: indicated the priest Ezra and certain men, heads of fathers, by their fathers' houses, each designated by name; and sat down on the first day of the tenth month to examine the matter. 17 And on the first day of the first month they made an end of all the men who had married foreign women.}
It was a very difficult decision for them! After all households were made up, but it was the price to pay.  God, it was not hard on them; the problem is that their ancestors started it all. For them to return to God, had to pay a high price, to become clean again. Nehemiah was another chosen by "God" and knowing the sad state of Jerusalem prays to God. Nehemiah was only the butler of the king, knew! God does not choose their by their social class. Nee. 1. "2 that Hanani, one of my brothers, with some of Judah; and I asked them concerning the Jews that had escaped, which were left of the captivity, and concerning Jerusalem. 3 And they said unto me, The remnant that are left of the captivity there in the province are in great affliction and reproach; also is broken down the wall of Jerusalem, and its gates are burned with fire. 4 And I heard these words, I sat down and wept, and mourned certain days; and I fasted and prayed before the God of heaven, 5 And said, O LORD God of heaven, great and awesome God, who keeps covenant and mercy for them that love him and keep his commandments: 6 Be alert your ears and open your eyes, listen to the prayer of thy servant, which I pray before you day and night, for the children of Israel, thy servants, and confess the sins of the children of Israel, that we have sinned against you; yes, I and my father's house have sinned; 7 We have dealt very corruptly against thee, and have not kept the commandments, nor the statutes, nor the judgments, which you commanded your servant Moses. and do today prosper thy servant, and grant him mercy before this man.  8 Remember, because of the word that you commanded your servant Moses, saying, If ye transgress, I will scatter you among the peoples; 9 but if you return to me, and keep my commandments and do them, even though you cast out unto the uttermost part of heaven, thence will gather them and will bring them to the place that I have chosen as a dwelling my nome.10 they are your servants and your people, you have redeemed by your great power and by thy hand poderosa.11 O Lord, be aware that your ears the prayer of thy servant, and to the prayer of your servants who delight in fear thy name; and do today prosper thy servant, and grant him mercy before this man. (I was the king's cupbearer.) "
Nehemiah is responsible for rebuilding the walls of Jerusalem. Nehemiah. 2: 2ao20. Repentance and confession of sin: they fasted and prayed too. Nee. 9.1 "1 Now in the twenty-fourth day of this month, gathered the children of Israel fasting, sackcloth and earth upon them. 2 And the seed of Israel separated themselves from all foreigners, put yourself in the foot and confessed their sins and the iniquities of their fathers. 3 And they stood up in their place and read from the book of the law of the Lord their God for a fourth of the day; and another fourth part they confessed, and worshiped the LORD their God. 4 Then Jeshua, Bani, Kadmiel, Shebaniah, Bunni, Sherebiah, Bani and Chenani stood standing on the steps of the Levites, and cried aloud to the Lord their God. 5 And the Levites Jeshua, Kadmiel, Bani, Hashabneiah Sherebiah, Hodias, Shebaniah and Pethahiah said, Stand up and bless the Lord your God for ever and ever. Blessed be thy glorious name, which is exalted above all blessing and praise. "Note that the children of Israel, confessed the sins of their ancestors, and received 'God' forgiveness, and become pure, clean again. What they did best was the act of fasting and praying to the true "God".
Esther also went through a very difficult situation. Haman wanted to destroy all Jewish people. Esther was a Jew, along with her uncle Mordecai, who had helped create So Esther had died his father.   Haman persuaded the king to create an edict against all Jews. Although Esther to be the queen, could not get to the king without being called. It would be death if the king did not extend to her the golden scepter. Esther asked Mordecai, to gather all the Jews in Shushan to fast for her, do not eat or drink for three days, they and their servants would do the same thing too. Fasting and prayer worked.
Esther went to the king, touched his scepter and it was almost impossible happened. The king will received and granted his request. It says in Esther 4. "15 Then Esther sent them to answer Mordecai, 16 Go, gather together all the Jews that are present in Shushan, and fast ye for me, and neither eat nor drink three days, night or of day; I also and my maidens will fast likewise. Then I will go to the king, which is not according to the law; and if I perish, I perish. 17 And Mordecai went and did according to all that Esther had commanded him. "Esther was a woman of" God "and received permission from the king to approach him, the king. Esther 5. "1 On the third day Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house; and the king sat upon his throne in the royal house, over against the entrance. 2 And it came to pass, when the king saw Esther the queen, who was standing in the court, she obtained favor in his; and the king held out to Esther the golden scepter that was in his hand. So Esther drew near, and touched the top of the scepter. "     Want to know what and be fearing, faithful, sincere, loyal, true, fair, integrate. He persevered, not blasphemed against God never at any time, despite all his suffering, he never turned against God, and did not allow anyone to do this. So that you understand how Job suffered, but did not accuse God, his suffering, and that ultimately received "God", all folded. Your life, your family, your property, all were multiplied by the Lord. Isaiah was also one of the great prophets used by God. Isaiah is chosen prophet: Isa. 6, 1.9: It was in Isaiah already knew of the coming Messiah. Isa. 9.6,7: "Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace." Jesus. The Messiah's kingdom is peaceful and prosperous. Isa 11.1,5, 9.11. And all the book of Isaiah is pure bliss. The greatness and the glory of Messiah's reign. Isa. 35: 1ao10. Isaiah intercedes for Hezekiah. Isa. 38.1,2,3- 10-15ao 22: The book of Isaiah is also very blessed. Finally all were very important to God. Ezekiel was another prophet widely used by God. The Lord spoke to Ezekiel: Eze. 2; 1ao10: God has made watchmen in Israel, the watchmen were responsible to take the word of the Lord. To alert those who were in sin, they were the Sentinels of God in Israel: Eze.23.17ao 27 & 33.6,9.

Parte I                   Conhecendo  melhor a Bíblia, e a palavra de Deus.
